耳熟能詳的台語歌《車站》，傳唱度非常高，當時正版銷售量，超過百萬張，也讓主唱張秀卿，在歌壇一炮而紅，高人氣的她，隔年繼續發行台語專輯，並且順勢奪下金曲獎台語歌后。

藝人羅時豐：「一首歌大概可能要半年，它才會整個台灣流傳度，才會擴及她只要3個月，就擴及到全國，我記得有一次跟她去金門勞軍，連金門司令部的將軍，外省將軍也在唱，火車已經到車站，就是唱得不標準這樣子。」

張秀卿的師兄羅時豐，接受民視台灣演義專訪表示，成名之後的張秀卿，為了償還父親醫療費，猛接表演活動，還曾經唱到口腔湧出血腥味，活潑的張秀卿，也善於模仿，不論男女藝人，或是家禽類的叫聲，都模仿的唯妙唯肖。（民視新聞綜合報導）
